City Hall Park

Maybe it's the ongoing construction; maybe it's the Occupy Wall Streeters. But lately I feel like I have to take a little bit more time convinving myself how great our neighborhood is. We have great kids' playgrounds but we also have great unconventional play spots I've already mentioned, like Teardrop Park and the Elevated Acre. Another spot I love to bring Lyla is City Hall Park. We can burn through an afternoon throwing coins in the fountain, people watching and checking out whatever art is on display.

One of these days she is going to fall right in.

Throwing coins in the fountain. We went through at least two bucks.

I slowed my shutter speed to capture her enthusiasm for throwing away money. She must take after me.

This is her favorite sculpture. She tells me "I want to go see the colors."

Testing her limits directly above a sign that says "Do Not Touch"

She hasn't asked about this guy yet. He is in the park every weekend; I think as part of some scavenger hunt show.  Only in New York.
