Starting April With a Bang

April has been eventful and we are only five days into the month.

Our biggest news is that we've listed our apartment for rent! The listing is here:

There has been some interest but no offers yet and, oh yeah, at some point we should probably figure out where we are going to live. It's definitely been stressful for me to get the listing up and running and to keep the apartment in "showroom" condition, ready for viewings at a moment's notice. It's also been really sad to think that our time living in NYC is coming to an end. It has been a great place to raise Lyla for the past three years. Part of me is sad that Baby Jack won't get that same experience, but I am excited at the prospect of being able to stretch our legs in a new home and give our family some breathing room from this crazy city.  But I do want to soak up as much NYC as possible in our last days here.  Spring is the perfect season to enjoy the city, so I hope to have lots of adventures to share in the next few weeks.

Lyla has been sick since -- no joke -- April Fool's Day. A bad cough, a fever and finally a diagnosis of strep throat. So the only picures from April look something like this.

(she'll kill me for this one)

And finally, my most dreaded pregnancy milestone -- the gestational diabetes test. I found out yesterday that everything came back normal, so now I am going to celebrate with a cupcake :)
