An Early Christmas

We alternate holidays between New York and Maryland, so on the years we go to Maryland for Christmas, we get together with my family to celebrate and exchange gifts. This year, everyone came over to our apartment for an early Christmas celebration.

Dina and Rich braved the Rockefeller Center crowds and took Nicolas to see the tree (and to the Lego store), so Lyla and Christopher got some rare one on one time together. Lyla didn't like the idea of "sharing" her toys with her cousin, but eventually came to terms with it and told Grandma "I'm sharin'".

I love these buggers.

This is Chrissy's Blue Steel...they call it "the eyes."

The best we came up with for a group shot.

My mom was concerned that we would be tight in the apartment once all the kids arrived...five kids happily squeezed into the smallest spots in our apartment -- the corner of Lyla's room or her crib!

Dennis loved his awesome guitar t-shirt from ThinkGeek.

Dennis and Dylan brought candy canes to decorate the tree.

Between the old toys and the new presents, it took me a couple of hours to put the place back together and figure out where the various toy pieces belonged, but it was a great day for a "bonus" Christmas celebration.
