Hurricane Bill
A couple of weeks ago Hurricane Bill came up the East Coast and caused big surf and high tides in Long Beach. We woke up on Sunday morning to find the tide coming up to the back of the beach and some of the lifeguard chairs pulled out from the mounds. Lots of people came out just to watch the high surf and a few didn't let it stop them from getting in a beach day.
Mark and Lyla watching the big waves from our terrace.
An itty bitty lifeguard mound was all that was left on Pacific Beach.
The high tides knocked out the emergency lane.
A few surfers heading out.
Waves crashing on the big purple rock.
When I was heading back to the building after taking pictures I noticed this sign by the pool. We may or may not have been the impetus behind this. I'm just gonna leave it at that.
