It was a cool Labor Day weekend but we braved the elements and headed to the beach for our last hurrah. A new hotel opened in Long Beach this weekend, the
Allegria Hotel and Spa and it was the talk of the town.
As part of the grand opening weekend, the hotel hosted a bunch of beach events. One was a kickboxing class. Dina has been kickboxing religiously since just about the second after Christopher was born and up for the challenge.
The whole family headed over to the beach to watch Dina kick some butt.
Everyone was accounted for:
Lyla and Mark hung out and kept asking when we could go home.
My mom and Nicolas collected shells and chased a baby seagull (poor little guy).
Rich sat back and relaxed as he watched his wife work her butt off.
In a VERY rare appearance, my dad videotaped her every kick and jab.
And Chrissy slept through the whole thing.
We took Lyla for one last walk on the beach and packed up.
Everyone headed home early to get ready to go back to work. Only 265 days to Memorial Day.
